During my time with West Country, I have felt fully supported in all my placements both long and short term. When I have had issues of a family nature, the staff have been fully supportive, but above all made me feel valued.

I have learnt to really love teaching again and have made some wonderful memories. Now retirement beckons and I will greatly miss working for such a wonderful group of people - who knows, 'never say never'.

Thank you for your email and for all your support in finding me supply work over the past academic year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working for West Country since September and it has made a great benefit to my work life balance and my mental health regarding work. 

I would love to continue working with West Country this coming September.

It's with sadness that I'm writing this email but excitement for me for what is to come.

All that's left is for me to say is what a fabulous team you are, how you've enabled me to remain a part of the teaching world whilst finding that work/life balance which is so important, yet at the same time, find the time to start new career.  I shall always remember your support and patience and will always wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone I know looking for supply teaching.

"When I moved from London to Wiltshire last year I was worried about re-establishing myself in a new area and finding employment on my terms, ie having spent 20 years in teaching with a fair proportion of that time in leadership, I wanted a bit of time to take stock and have some "me time". Enrolling with the West Country Educational Agency, allowed me to do this.  They took the time to get to know me and put me forward for jobs that worked for me and my lifestyle, as well as the school. They didn't try and persuade me to take jobs that didn't allow me to fulfil my commitments of moving house and spending time with a new grand-child!

I have enjoyed all the positions they have put me forward for which have helped enhance my own skills  through being back in the classroom  (which is what I wanted), after a number of years out of it in leadership positions. With the security of regular employment I have been able to take the time to find another management position, but when that maternity cover comes to an end I shall definitely be heading back to WCEA"

I will start a one year Maternity Cover role in January, but hope to be with you again in 2025.

 In the meantime, I will certainly recommend West Country for anyone looking for supply work which meets their needs, is regular, reliable and with a firm that gets to know you and treats you like an individual.

I wanted to write to thank you all for "launching" me into my teaching career! ... The staff in the office are always so helpful and reassuring.  The experience of supply teaching has been an invaluable one where I could see how several different schools operated and tried my hand at teaching different classes.  All of this lead to me getting my first teaching post and was a vital step for me.

It has been a pleasure working for you and I cannot speak highly enough of the support and experience you have given me as a teacher! Thank you!

As my final day has come and gone, I wanted to email you all to just say a huge thank you for everything you’ve done for me during my time with you. 

I came to you with the aim to try many different schools and teaching ways and explore what suits me as a teacher, alongside trying to reignite my love for the job after feeling a sense of “was it for me”. On the back of what was a tricky year for me, you guys gave me a chance to get going again.  

What you all have done is helped me establish that I am a good teacher (with plenty of learning still left to do) and that I can do well. You’ve given me the confidence and belief in myself and you helped me find a love for the job again. You allowed me to find my way and discover what works for me and where I work well.  

I appreciated the different challenges and places to go. You certainly did what I asked!

 I cannot stress how wonderful you all are as people and how I have enjoyed having such positive relationships with you all. I have counted myself very lucky to work for and with such a wonderful bunch of people.

Once again, thank you ever so much for everything and I cannot stress how important this experience has been for me, both as a teacher and as a person - I believe in myself a lot more again.

I wanted to drop you a note to say a huge thank you for all your hard work and help with getting me launched as a TA.

I know I only worked for you for a very short time due to being offered a permanent position, however, this time was invaluable. I had been turned down for a number of schools due to lack of experience and was starting to feel extremely demoralised - to the point of giving up my dream. You listened to me when I called and explained my situation and give me the chance to get my foot in the door which ultimately helped me to land the full time position. I have worked with WCEA for over 10 years. West Country Educational Agency gave me the opportunity to work in a number of schools in and around the local area. They have been very supportive, and I have really enjoyed working for an agency that treat both the schools and their staff as people. I am now lucky enough to be experiencing teaching in the Falkland Islands, which has only been made possible through West Country!

West Country managed to place me with a genuine once-in-a-lifetime supply post with the British Paralympic Swimming team's training camp in Dubai. Working as a tutor for athletes in the team that are still in full-time education, I was able to support them with the work they had been set by their schools and colleges. Without West Country's providing of this role, I would have had a much lighter CV and a far bleaker winter - two weeks in Dubai in December really was a treat!

It is also worth mentioning how personable and helpful the staff at West Country are. I have been on several supply teaching agency books and most tend to be akin to salesmen. West Country is staffed by genuine people and talk to you like a person, not an asset.
